North West Pathology is a well-established pathology laboratory. We started providing pathology services in north west Tasmania in October of 1977 . Today we operate our central laboratory from state of the art premises strategically located in the North West Medical Centre between the North West Regional Hospital and the North West Private Hospital. Our equipment, protocols and systems are all endorsed by NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities).

We employ over 80 people at the laboratory. We are all committed to a service ethic whereby:

 • We endeavour to assist our patients by operating seven fully accredited pathology collection centres in the north west of Tasmania.

 • We are committed to technological excellence in all areas, and to that end utilise a sophisticated and specialised IT system; incorporating electronic report downloading and internet viewing of results.
